Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for a Senior Mission Integration/Acquisition in Analysis and Assessment supporting SAF/SQ (Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration) position. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and talented group of individuals committed to driving success.

The ideal candidate will provide analytical and evaluation support to assess the effectiveness, performance, and strategic alignment of the Department of the Air Force space acquisition programs and initiatives. The analyst supports leadership by conducting data-driven analysis, evaluating program outcomes, and providing insights that inform strategic planning, capability development, and acquisition decision-making.

This role works closely with SAF/SQ leadership, program offices, Space Systems Command, and other stakeholders to develop assessments, identify trends, and support reporting on the progress and performance of national security space initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Mission Integration/Acquisition will:

  • Conduct analysis and assessments of space acquisition programs, initiatives, and mission capabilities supporting SAF/SQ priorities
  • Analyze program performance data related to cost, schedule, technical performance, and mission effectiveness
  • Develop analytical reports, assessments, and executive briefings to support leadership decision-making
  • Identify trends, risks, and performance gaps affecting program execution and capability delivery
  • Support development of performance metrics, evaluation frameworks, and assessment methodologies for space programs
  • Coordinate with program offices, engineering teams, and acquisition stakeholders to gather data and validate assessment findings
  • Assist in preparing program reviews, strategic assessments, and leadership updates
  • Support evaluation of operational concepts, system capabilities, and mission outcomes related to national security space activities
  • Maintain documentation and tracking of assessment findings, program metrics, and analysis results
  • Provide recommendations to improve program performance, operational effectiveness, and strategic alignment of space acquisition efforts


Responsibilities

Skills and Experience

The Senior Mission Integration/Acquisition must have:

  • Active Top Secret security clearance, with SCI eligibility
  • Experience supporting program analysis, assessments, or strategic evaluations in a DoW, Air Force, or Space Force environment
  • Knowledge of space acquisition programs, national security space missions, and the defense acquisition process
  • Experience analyzing program performance data, operational metrics, and technical program information
  • Ability to develop analytical reports, data visualizations, and executive-level briefings
  • Familiarity with performance measurement frameworks and program evaluation methodologies
  • Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders across headquarters organizations, program offices, and technical teams
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical and programmatic information into clear and actionable insights

Education and Certifications

The Senior Mission Integration/Acquisition must meet the following:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Data Analytics, National Security Studies, or Business or Program Management

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Data Analytics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related analytical discipline
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Certification (DAWIA / DAWIA-equivalent) in Program Management, Systems Engineering, or Acquisition
  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
  • Data analytics or program evaluation certifications relevant to performance analysis and assessment

Security Clearance

A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
