Engineering Technician

Requirement/Must Have:

• Min 3 - 5 years of experience in planning, ordering, assembling, validating, and supporting manufacturing equipment.
• Hands-on with proven ability to work well in a team environment.
• Mechanical/electrical assembly aptitude; Soldering experience a plus.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Attention to details with focus on quality.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to review Manufacturing Process Instructions/drawings and provide engineers with redlines/feedback.
• Ability to perform initial troubleshooting of equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Procure, assemble, and test new equipment, including mechanical, electrical and pneumatic component assembly and integration, to fulfill validation and manufacturing requirements.
• Physically manage receipt and storage of materials as they arrive.
• Work with engineering to support documentation of equipment including assembly drawing, test protocol, and manufacturing methods.
• Create and release ECOs for minor updates.
• Document test results using paper and electronic means (Word, Excel, SAP).
• Assist with lab organization (5S) and coordinating efficient material transfer flow between planning and equipment engineers to support build timelines.
• Coordinating execution of equipment shipments between US and international sites (e.g. crating and labeling).
• Conduct basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment issues and provide relevant line support (e.g. equipment adjustment and repair).

Nice to Have:

• Experience in medical device field with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or similar QMS.
• Experience with 5S and lab organization.
• Experience coordinating with Preventative Maintenance and Calibration team for equipment maintenance, calibration, and implementation in Production.
• Experience with ERP/Document Control systems.
• Experience with crating/shipping internationally.
• Experience with V&V or TMV protocol execution.
• Experience with CAD (Solidworks, AutoCAD electrical).

Qualification And Education:

• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent. AA or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school a plus.
