Senior Analyst – Customer / Vendor and/or Material Master

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst – Customer / Vendor and/or Material Master to support SAP data migration, master data transformation, and S/4HANA implementation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Customer, Vendor/Supplier, Business Partner, and/or Material Master data, with hands-on expertise in data profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and governance.

The role will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, data owners, technical teams, and project leadership to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant master data throughout the SAP transformation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and assess legacy Customer, Vendor/Supplier, Business Partner, and/or Material Master data.
  • Perform source data profiling, cleansing, standardization, enrichment, and quality assessment.
  • Develop and maintain data mapping and transformation specifications between legacy systems and SAP ECC/S/4HANA.
  • Support SAP master data migration and conversion activities, including mock conversion cycles and migration rehearsals.
  • Perform pre-load and post-load validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks.
  • Identify data defects, investigate root causes, and coordinate resolution with business and technical teams.
  • Support SAP S/4HANA Business Partner and master data conversion activities.
  • Support migration activities using SAP Migration Cockpit and/or related SAP data migration tools.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, workshops, SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live readiness, and hypercare.
  • Develop SQL queries and analytical reports to extract, validate, and reconcile legacy and migrated data.
  • Use Power BI and Excel for data analysis, quality reporting, dashboards, and migration readiness reporting.
  • Support Source-to-Settle/P2P and Order-to-Cash/OTC data processes.
  • Collaborate with procurement, sales, finance, supply chain, master data, and IT teams.
  • Define and execute data quality rules, validation criteria, and reconciliation procedures.
  • Maintain data migration documentation, requirements traceability, issue logs, and quality records.
  • Support governance, audit readiness, and compliance requirements.
  • In regulated environments, support GxP, CSV, SOX, validation, and audit requirements.
  • Provide status updates, identify migration risks, and communicate data readiness to project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, master data, or SAP data migration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with one or more of:
    • Customer Master
    • Vendor/Supplier Master
    • Business Partner
    • Material Master
  • Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience supporting end-to-end SAP data migration/data conversion projects.
  • Strong understanding of data profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Experience with SAP MDG, Business Partner, and/or SAP Migration Cockpit is highly preferred.
  • Strong SQL skills, preferably SQL Server.
  • Experience with Power BI and advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with SIT, UAT, defect management, cutover, and hypercare.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of GxP, Computer System Validation (CSV), SOX, audit controls, and requirements traceability.
  • Understanding of Source-to-Settle/P2P and Order-to-Cash/OTC processes.
  • Experience with large-scale S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • Experience working with cross-functional global teams.
  • Familiarity with data governance, master data governance, and data quality frameworks.
