  • Review daily inspection reports for completeness, accuracy, and consistency, and assist with tracking outstanding issues and corrective actions.
  • Track material testing results, monitor compliance with quality control and quality assurance testing requirements, and organize supporting documentation for acceptance records.
  • Organize and maintain project correspondence, inspection records, material certifications, test reports, requests for information, and other project documentation.
  • Support the preparation of project status reports by tracking construction progress, documenting completed work, and compiling inspection and quality-related metrics.

Field Work, Site Assessments, and Communication
  • Attend construction meetings, perform site visits, document meeting discussions and action items, and assist senior staff in resolving field-related issues affecting quality and project delivery.
  • Assist senior engineers with field observations, documentation, and reporting.
  • Assist project management staff in identifying and documenting non-conforming work and deviations from approved construction documents.
  • Facilitate communication among inspectors, contractors, designers, clients, and project management personnel regarding construction progress, quality issues, and documentation requirements.

Professional Development
  • Recognize knowledge limitations and seek guidance when necessary to ensure quality work.
  • Follow company safety procedures and quality standards on all projects.

  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and working toward obtaining professional licensure status.
  • Familiarity with engineering design tools, spreadsheets, PDF editing tools, and project document management processes (Inspections, RFIs, Submittals, and Record Drawings).

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and occasional overnight travel as required by project needs.
  • Ability to operate a computer and sit for extended periods of time.
