The Role-
This role is for a senior-level Oracle PL/SQL developer responsible for working with extremely large and sensitive data sets that support critical financial business operations. The position focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions that manage data flows coming from both internal and external systems. Responsibilities include writing and tuning SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and other database objects, as well as improving performance for systems handling very large volumes of data. The role also involves supporting data movement and loading processes, analyzing data issues, and ensuring high reliability in an environment where errors can have significant impact.
Candidates should have around 10+ years of experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development, including strong performance tuning skills and experience working with large-scale data environments. Additional experience with Unix or Linux environments, shell scripting, ETL tools such as SQL Loader, and reporting tools is required. Knowledge of Python is considered valuable, and familiarity with cloud technologies, data analytics, and database modeling is a plus. Experience working in the financial industry, ideally 5+ years, along with strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills is preferred. The role involves working in an Agile team environment and contributing to end-to-end data solutions that support capital markets operations.
Must Have: Must be in resume in recent project- 10+ years experience including hands-on experience with:
- Performance tuning existing or new
- Extensive Oracle SQL & PL/SQL development experience
- Unix shell scripting
- Some reporting tool experience
- For ETL, we use SQL loader
