Genesis10 is currently seeking an OpenShift Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves the design, implementation, and management of OpenShift clusters to support application deployment and scaling. The successful candidate will enable CI/CD pipelines using various DevOps tools, manage code migrations, and ensure the overall health and security of supported applications.
Responsibilities: - Design, Implement and manage OpenShift clusters to support application deployment and scaling
- Enable CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools including Bitbucket, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Ansible Tower, and XL Release
- Onboard applications to XL Release (XLR) using manual or Ansible-based processes
- Ensure the overall health of the supported applications
- Manage code migrations, ensuring source control policies are being followed
- Apply application maintenance releases, upgrades and hot fixes as required
- Design, implement, and maintain platform security including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft server and Exadata/Oracle
- Work on Proof of Concepts to test new technologies
- Coordinate with infrastructure support team for outages/upgrades
- Monitor and track vulnerabilities, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with organizational policies
- Perform platform capacity planning and management
- Serve as an escalation point for escalated production and/or platform issues
- Design solutions to reduce the operational and management complexity of the platform
- Coordinate and manage software releases, ensuring smooth deployment processes and alignment with project timelines
Requirements: - Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and shell scripting

- Experience working in large enterprise DevOps environments and cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills (Verbal and written)
Pay range: $47.52 - $55.52 per hour
