Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Agile Coach Specialist for an urgent backfill replacement role with HHSC. This is a high-impact expert-level position requiring deep experience in Agile transformation, SAFe implementation, and enterprise coaching.

The selected candidate will lead Agile transformation initiatives across Medicaid/CHIP programs and help establish scalable Agile practices across enterprise teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Agile transformation initiatives across enterprise teams
• Coach and mentor teams on Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks
• Train and support Medicaid CHIP IT Contracts Oversight teams
• Drive adoption of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) across portfolios
• Develop and deliver Agile training curriculum & coaching plans
• Establish Agile best practices, governance, and implementation processes
• Collaborate with leadership to align Agile practices with business goals
• Ensure continuous improvement and measurable Agile maturity

Required Skills & Experience:

• 16+ years of IT experience (Enterprise Level)
• Proven experience as an Agile Coach in large organizations
• Strong expertise in:
  • Scrum & Kanban
  • SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
  • Agile Transformation & Coaching
• Experience working with Medicaid / Healthcare / State Projects (Preferred)
• Excellent leadership, communication & stakeholder management skills
• Ability to make quick decisions and drive change

Certifications (MANDATORY / STRONGLY PREFERRED)

• SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) ✅
• OR equivalent SAFe certifications:
  • SAFe Agilist
  • Leading SAFe
  • SAFe Program Consultant
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer
• Agile Certifications:
