Job Description Program Overview The Army National Guard (ARNG) Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support (ENOCS) program delivers comprehensive enterprise IT infrastructure, WAN, cybersecurity, and associated services to the ARNG and its mission partners. The program supports more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 sites spanning 54 states and territories, enabling Title 10 and Title 32 missions, domestic emergency response operations, mobilization readiness, and classified SIPRNet operations.

Task 2 - Enterprise Applications Support - delivers engineering, operations, and sustainment of enterprise software applications and IT capabilities supporting more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 ARNG sites nationwide. This task area ensures mission-critical applications remain current, secure, and aligned with evolving ARNG requirements by integrating innovation, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement practices into application lifecycle management.
Position Summary ECS is seeking a System Administrator - Journeyman to support the Army National Guard ENOCS program by maintaining and optimizing enterprise application servers and their supporting infrastructure. The selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring system reliability and security, directly contributing to the mission's success by implementing patch management, conducting system monitoring, and optimizing performance. This position is integral to maintaining compliance with cybersecurity directives and continuous monitoring requirements, ensuring the operational readiness of the ARNG's IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities - Maintain and sustain enterprise application servers and related infrastructure.
- Perform patch management to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
- Administer user accounts and manage access controls.
- Implement configuration control processes to maintain system integrity.
- Monitor system performance and optimize for efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity directives and implement STIGs.
- Conduct continuous monitoring to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Provide technical support across the enterprise environment.
Required Skills Required Qualifications - Clearance: Secret Eligible required
- S. Citizenship required
- DoD 8140.03 Compliance: DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 451-System Administrator at the Basic proficiency level
- Certifications (one or more required): CNDa, A+, Network+
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Associate's degree in Computer Technology
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in system administration, DevOps, and cybersecurity
- Expertise in server maintenance and network device configuration
- Proficiency in using monitoring tools for system performance analysis
- Strong background in data backup solutions and disaster recovery planning
Desired Skills Desired Qualifications - Clearance: Active Secret preferred
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner, CompTIA Security+, or CompTIA Ethical Hacker certifications
- Experience in implementing STIGs and cybersecurity directives
- Proven track record in technical support within enterprise environments
- Familiarity with DoD and ARNG IT infrastructure and security protocols
