Expected Work Schedule
- Full-time position (likely standard construction industry hours, approximately 40+ hours/week)
- Initial training/onboarding period: Primarily onsite at either the San Jose or Oakland office.
- After training: Hybrid schedule with the ability to work from home when not needed at meetings, jobsites, or client locations.
- Local Bay Area travel required for:
- Jobsite walks
- Client meetings
- Project coordination meetings
- Site visits with field personnel
- No extensive travel; travel is limited to the Bay Area.
Top Priority:
- 5+ years of Electrical Estimating experience
- Strong electrical construction background (electrical systems, electrical contracting, construction documents)
- Experience preparing electrical estimates, bids, budgets, and proposals
- Ability to perform quantity takeoffs and review drawings/specifications
- Project Management experience on electrical construction projects
- Experience with budgeting, cost tracking, financial management, and change orders
- Proficiency with estimating software and project management tools
- Experience coordinating with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in both office and jobsite environments
- Willingness to travel locally throughout the Bay Area

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to support electrical construction projects throughout the Bay Area, with a focus on affordable housing and multifamily developments.
This is a full-time role that is approximately 60% electrical estimating and 40% project management. The position will include local travel to client sites and jobsites throughout the Bay Area. After the initial training period, there will be flexibility to work from home. Candidates may choose to have their primary desk located in either the company's San Jose or Oakland office.
The ideal candidate will have strong electrical estimating experience, project management capabilities, and the ability to work closely with internal teams, field personnel, clients, general contractors, and other project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for affordable housing, multifamily, and related construction projects
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and vendor/subcontractor coordination
- Develop accurate budgets, proposals, and change order pricing
- Support project planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution
- Manage project documentation, budgets, timelines, and client communication
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements
- Attend jobsite walks, client meetings, and project coordination meetings throughout the Bay Area
- Track project progress and help identify risks, cost impacts, and schedule concerns
- Provide input on estimating software, tools, systems, and process improvements
- Help strengthen and grow the company's electrical estimating capabilities
Qualifications
- 5+ years of electrical estimating experience
- 5+ years of experience working on affordable housing, multifamily, or similar construction projects preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical contracting, electrical systems, construction documents, and project execution
- Experience with budgeting, cost estimating, change orders, and financial tracking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project stakeholders
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in both office and jobsite environments
- Proficiency with estimating and project management software
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
