We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team. This exciting role is a vital part of our construction industry operations, offering an opportunity to utilize and enhance your skills in budgeting, project management, and electrical estimating. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for creating accurate cost estimates that impact critical decisions on project viability and profitability.

Base Salary + Commission

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver accurate and timely electrical estimates for large-scale construction projects.
  • Utilize software such as Destini Estimator, McCormick, Accubid, and Microsoft Project to create comprehensive project bids.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction crews to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements.
  • Use your expertise in construction management to analyze labor, material, and time requirements for each project.
  • Evaluate and analyze subcontractor proposals and vendor quotes, ensuring they align with project specifications and budget constraints.
  • Prepare and present detailed cost reports, including itemized costs, total cost, and a detailed explanation of cost estimates.
  • Participate in the negotiation and finalization of project bids.
  • Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
  • Keep track of the latest industry trends, advancements, and best practices in electrical estimating to enhance cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating or a related role in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Extensive experience with electrical estimating software such as Destini Estimator, McCormick, and Accubid.
  • Proven experience in project management and construction management.
  • Solid understanding of electrical construction processes, materials, and costs.
  • Strong knowledge of the principles and methods of cost estimating.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work output.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
