A PE-backed cash management technology company with a physical manufacturing plant in the Dallas Metro area is hiring a Senior Accounting Manager to replace a departed employee. This is a hands-on leadership role — not a passive reviewer. The candidate will own the full accounting cycle at the plant level: leading month-end close, overseeing the general ledger, managing inventory and cost accounting, producing financial reporting packages, and partnering directly with plant and operations leadership to translate numbers into operational insight.

This is an ownership role. The client wants someone who runs the close, not someone who participates in it. The environment is fast-paced, high-volume, and PE-backed — meaning pace is real, deadlines are firm, and the expectation is that this person builds structure and improves processes, not just maintains them. Manufacturing and plant-based accounting experience is a strong preference, not a nice-to-have.

Position opened due to a separation. No relocation. No sponsorship. Must be local to the Dallas Metro area.

• Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field — minimum requirement
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated tenure and growth
• Must have directly led and owned a full month-end close process — not just participated
• Strong general ledger, journal entry, reconciliation, and financial reporting experience
• Solid U.S. GAAP knowledge and working understanding of internal controls
• ERP system proficiency — Dynamics 365 preferred; any major ERP acceptable
• Advanced Excel skills — this is explicitly required, not just ''proficient''
• Manufacturing, industrial, or plant-based accounting experience — strong client preference, treat as near-mandatory
• Inventory and/or cost accounting experience (standard costing, variance analysis, overhead)
• Must be local to Dallas Metro — no relocation, no sponsorship

• Direct experience as a Senior Accounting Manager, Accounting Manager, or Plant Controller in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience — specifically called out by client
• Cost accounting depth: standard costing, labor/material/overhead variance analysis
• Experience managing or mentoring junior accounting staff
• Audit support and audit readiness experience
• Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning involvement
• Intercompany accounting and fixed assets experience
• PE-backed or high-growth company background — comfortable with pace, evolving processes, and building structure
• CPA or CMA designation — signals technical rigor, differentiates candidates
• Experience partnering directly with operations, plant managers, or non-finance leadership

• Public accounting or corporate-only background with zero exposure to manufacturing, plant, or operations environments — confirmed client disqualifier
• No ownership of month-end close — participated but never led — confirmed disqualifier

• Weak ERP or Excel skills — confirmed disqualifier
