Job title : Senior Accountant — PE-Backed Manufacturing / Industrial Technology Company
Location : Carrollton, TX (Dallas Metro) - Onsite Only Not Remote
Salary- $60k to $80K
Interview : Video
Note : Onsite Interview
A PE-backed cash management technology company with a physical manufacturing plant in Carrollton, TX is adding a Senior Accountant to support business growth. This is an individual contributor role — one level below the Senior Accounting Manager — focused on executing the day-to-day accounting operations at the plant level. The candidate will prepare journal entries, handle account reconciliations, support month-end close, assist with inventory and cost accounting, and contribute to financial reporting and variance analysis.
This is not a pure GL or corporate accounting role. The client has a strong preference for manufacturing or plant-based accounting experience — candidates who understand how inventory moves, how costs are tracked, and how financials connect to production activity. The environment is PE-backed, fast-paced, and high-volume. The right person is detail-oriented, ERP-proficient, strong in Excel, and comfortable working onsite in a plant environment alongside operations teams.
- 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience at the Senior Accountant level
- Hands-on general ledger experience — journal entries, account reconciliations, period-end support
- Month-end close participation and support experience — must be actively involved in close
- Manufacturing, industrial, or plant-based accounting experience — strong client preference, treat as near-mandatory
- Inventory and/or cost accounting exposure — standard costing, variance analysis, or inventory reconciliation
- ERP system proficiency — SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or comparable
- Advanced Excel skills — explicitly required, not just basic proficiency
- U.S. GAAP knowledge and working understanding of accounting principles
- Must be able to work fully onsite in Carrollton, TX — not remote
- Current or recent title of Senior Accountant, Cost Accountant, or Plant Accountant in a manufacturing or industrial company
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience — consistent with the Senior Accounting Manager role at this company
- Standard costing and overhead variance analysis experience
- Fixed assets accounting experience
- Audit support and internal controls experience
- Budgeting and forecasting support involvement
- Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA candidate or CPA — differentiates at this level
- PE-backed or high-growth company background — comfortable with pace and process evolution
- Intercompany accounting or multi-entity experience
F. DISQUALIFIERS / RED FLAGS
- No manufacturing, industrial, or plant-based accounting exposure — generic corporate or public-only background without operations context is a weak fit
- No inventory or cost accounting experience — GL-only background is insufficient for this environment
- No ERP experience — spreadsheet-only or entry-level system background
- Requires remote or hybrid work — role is fully onsite
- Currently at Staff Accountant level with less than 3 years of experience — too junior
- Currently at Accounting Manager or above — overqualified; this role reports to the Senior Accounting Manager
- More than 3 jobs in the last 10 years without clear explanation
- No month-end close involvement — data entry or transactional-only accounting background
- Requires sponsorship — confirm with hiring team; consistent with companion roles at this company, sponsorship is likely unavailable
- Current or recent title: Senior Accountant, Cost Accountant, or Plant Accountant at a manufacturing, industrial, or product-based company
- Resume explicitly shows journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close support
- Inventory accounting, cost accounting, or standard costing mentioned by name
- ERP platform named on resume — SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Dynamics 365, or Epicor
- Excel called out specifically — advanced functions, pivots, or modeling noted
- 3–6 years of consistent, stable accounting experience — clear progression from Staff to Senior
- Located in Dallas Metro area — Carrollton, Irving, Addison, Plano, Lewisville, Farmers Branch, or nearby
- Manufacturing, industrial, or tech-adjacent industry background on resume
- CPA or actively pursuing CPA — strong differentiator at this level
- Variance analysis and financial reporting language present on resume
Manufacturing experience is the primary filter: Same expectation as the Senior Accounting Manager role at this company. Plant, industrial, or manufacturing accounting backgrounds are strongly preferred. Generic corporate accounting without any operations or inventory exposure is a weaker fit.
Level clarity: This is a Senior Accountant — individual contributor, 3–6 years of experience. Do not submit Staff Accountants (too junior) or Accounting Managers (too senior). The right candidate is growing into management but not there yet.
ERP and Excel are firm requirements: Any major ERP is acceptable. Advanced Excel must be evident. Do not submit candidates with only basic system or spreadsheet experience.
Geography: Onsite in Carrollton, TX. Prioritize DFW-area candidates. Relocation policy is unconfirmed — assume local preferred and flag any out-of-area submissions clearly.
Volume target: 5 qualified resumes per week. DFW has solid accounting talent at this level — quality candidates are findable.
Stability filter: No more than 3 jobs in the last 10 years. Look for clear Staff → Senior progression on the resume.
