Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with deep expertise in Commercial Lending to support strategic modernization initiatives across the lending lifecycle.
The Reimagine the Bank program is a multi-year enterprise transformation initiative focused on modernizing Commercial Banking operations, streamlining lending processes, enhancing client onboarding, and driving operational efficiency through digital transformation.
The ideal candidate will possess strong business analysis experience within Commercial Lending, partnering with Business, Product, Operations, Architecture, and Engineering teams to redesign lending processes, define future-state capabilities, and deliver scalable technology solutions. This role requires a proactive Business Analyst who can lead discovery workshops, facilitate stakeholder discussions, document operational workflows, and translate business needs into Agile-ready requirements.
Experience with LoanIQ and AFS is highly preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with strong Commercial Lending domain expertise and enterprise transformation experience are encouraged to apply.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with Business, Product, Operations, Credit, Loan Operations, and Technology teams to define business capabilities and solution requirements supporting Commercial Lending transformation initiatives.
- Lead business discovery workshops to analyze current-state lending processes and define future-state operating models.
- Gather, analyze, and refine business requirements across the Commercial Lending lifecycle, including:
- Loan Origination
- Credit Underwriting
- Loan Closing
- Loan Booking
- Loan Servicing
- Portfolio Management
- Collateral Management
- Covenant & Exception Tracking
- Translate business requirements into Agile delivery artifacts, including:
- User Stories
- Acceptance Criteria
- Operational Step-by-Step Workflows
- End-to-End Business Process Flows
- Business Rules
- Data Mapping Specifications
- API Integration Requirements
- Document complete operational workflows, business scenarios, decision logic, and system interactions to support engineering and solution delivery.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Engineering teams to refine backlog items and ensure stories are ready for sprint execution.
- Drive business process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and business demonstrations.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business validation, implementation planning, and production readiness.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and ensure successful delivery across multiple transformation workstreams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8 12+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst within Commercial Banking or Financial Services.
- Strong domain expertise in Commercial Lending and the end-to-end loan lifecycle.

- Experience with Commercial Lending platforms and Loan Operations technologies.
- Knowledge of syndicated lending, asset-based lending (ABL), and commercial credit processes.
- Experience with API integrations and enterprise banking applications.
- Exposure to cloud-native platforms and microservices architectures.
- Prior consulting experience with firms such as Accenture, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, Capgemini, Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, or Wipro is a plus.
