Job Summary

Seeking a Principal Mobile Engineer with deep iOS expertise and strong Android/Kotlin knowledge to lead mobile architecture, development, and technical strategy for secure, scalable, AI-enabled consumer applications. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring approximately 50% hands-on engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Lead architecture and development of native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Combine.
Provide technical direction for Android/Kotlin development.
Define mobile engineering standards, reusable components, and best practices.
Partner with Product, Design, Backend, Data, and AI teams on technical strategy and roadmap decisions.
Drive performance, scalability, security, testing, CI/CD, and observability improvements.
Build and manage Datadog dashboards, monitors, and alerts.
Implement Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics for mobile applications.
Mentor engineers and communicate architecture and investment decisions to senior stakeholders.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools within the SDLC.

Required Qualifications

10+ years mobile development experience and 3+ years in Principal/technical leadership roles.
Expert Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Combine skills.
Strong Kotlin/Android knowledge.
Hands-on experience with Datadog, Adobe Analytics, and Azure DevOps.
Experience with Git, Fastlane, Firebase, CI/CD, automated testing, and App Store/Google Play releases.
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth2, mobile security, accessibility, performance, and scalable architecture.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fintech/financial services or consumer mobile experience.
Experience with mobile payments, identity verification, or push notifications.
Experience with AI/ML-enabled mobile applications.
