Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and independent Software Engineer 4 to join our team as an IVR Automation Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to build an automated regression test bed using proprietary UI tools and a Hammer Call Master backend. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IVR/EIVA systems, call flow analysis, and service virtualization. This position supports the customer service numbers and involves working on a cloud vendor migration using Google Dialog Flow.
Responsibilities: - Build an automated regression suite using proprietary UI and Hammer Call Master.
- Convert manual Octane test scripts into automated Hammer scripts.
- Run daily automated tests and provide clear reporting on results.
- Triage test failures by reviewing LucidChart call flows and identifying test data issues.
- Develop virtualized services or stubs to support scripts requiring unstable or unavailable test data, while maintaining validation of EIVA flows and API behavior.
- Support the IVR/EIVA systems and customer service numbers during the cloud migration process.
- Collaborate with the team to address disruptions caused by external vendors.
Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in software engineering or related fields.
- Expertise in IVR/EIVA systems and call flow analysis.
- Experience creating Hammer Call Master prompts.
- Proficiency in service virtualization or stubbing (e.g., stubbed data, fake test data, virtualized data).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot call flows documented in tools like LucidChart or Visio.
- Java programming background preferred.
- Experience supporting automation frameworks and regression suites.
- Familiarity with Google Dialog Flow and cloud vendor migration is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
Core Skills Emphasis: - Strong analysis skills for reviewing design documentation and identifying root causes of issues.
- Experience working through a backlog of test cases.
- Ability to build out virtualized services or stubbed environments to handle unstable or unavailable test data.
Nice to Have: - Experience with Hammer or Cyara tools.
