Location: 100% Remote

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Payroll Functional Lead Consultant to lead a large-scale, complex U.S. payroll implementation or application maintenance. The role is strategic, requiring end-to-end ownership of the payroll solution design, ensuring alignment with business requirements, operational needs, and compliance standards.
• Need Payroll Integration Lead experience, although this is primarily a functional role, the candidate must have strong hands-on technical configuration and implementation experience to perform the required work.
• Candidate must have practical experience with payroll configuration and integration activities, rather than only functional or coordination experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead & own the design of the payroll solution, meeting strategic, operational, and compliance objectives.
• Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops with business stakeholders to define and document payroll needs.
• Collaborate with payroll configurators to ensure configuration aligns with approved solutions and business requirements.
• Partner with integration leads to ensure seamless integration between payroll and related systems (e.g., SAP FI, Time Management, Benefits, Compensation, third-party vendors).

Oversee the full payroll implementation lifecycle, including:

• Solution build and configuration, Parallel payroll runs, System Integration Testing (SIT)
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Cutover planning and execution
• Post-go-live support

Provide functional expertise in:

• Gross-to-net calculations
• Tax reporting and BSI
• Tax Factory integration
• Garnishments and levy management
• Year-end processing and accrual setup
• Troubleshoot payroll issues, apply support packs, and develop custom rules/operations as needed.
• Maintain payroll catalogs (wage types, off-cycle payroll, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, manage risks, and drive resolution strategies.
• Ensure project milestones are met on time and with high quality

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 12+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Payroll (ECP or HCM), with a strong focus on U.S. Payroll.
• Proven success in leading and delivering complex payroll implementations, including full lifecycle experience.
• Strong SAP Payroll expertise and deep understanding of U.S. payroll regulations.
• Leadership and stakeholder management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Ability to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-quality payroll solutions in a dynamic, global environment
