Associate Support Engineering Data Specialist

Location: Warner Robins, Georgia (Onsite)

Role Overview

This role is focused on the enhancement of technical documentation and support materials. The specialist will research and evaluate technical source data and specifications to ensure accuracy and relevance. Key activities include developing and maintaining technical publication elements such as theory of operations, testing and troubleshooting procedures, and schematic diagrams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop publication elements for all maintenance levels for new or fielded equipment systems or subsystems, including theory of operations, flight manuals, and testing procedures.
• Create illustrated parts breakdowns, removal and installation procedures, and schematic diagrams.
• Resolve source data gaps and inconsistencies with the originator.
• Provide art and illustration mark-ups for technical publications.
• Update publication elements based on internal/external reviews, source data changes, and equipment modifications.
• Collect, research, and analyze source data, including equipment requirements and maintenance concepts, to determine the impact on technical publications.
• Identify source data inaccuracies and take corrective action.
• Conduct peer reviews of completed publication elements for technical accuracy and adherence to format standards.
• Support customer verification reviews and implement corrective actions based on feedback.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience with tactical aircraft avionics systems, subsystems, and components, including flight controls, radar, communications, and weapons.
• 1+ year of experience with technical data and publications for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
• 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in either military or civilian aircraft maintenance.
• 1+ year of experience authoring aircraft technical data.
• 1+ year of experience reading and interpreting vendor data, engineering drawings, 3D models, and wiring diagrams.
• 1+ year of experience with S1000D & Interactive Electronic Technical Manual publication.
• Familiarity with eXtensible Markup Language (XML).
• Familiarity with Contenta.
