Senior Business Intelligence And Analytics Consultant

Description
A public sector client of TEKsystems requires two 2 specialized business intelligence and analytics contractors to enhance delivery capacity in support of a portfolio of work. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience developing extract transform and load ETL scripts using PowerCenter Informatica and/or SAP BusinessObjects and/or Microsoft data platforms technologies. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in multiple platforms.
The scope of work for this contract will be to perform the analysis and implementation of reporting and analytics solutions. Duties / deliverables include:

- Coordinate with SMEs to define reporting requirements.

- Work with City IT Governance team to validate solution architectural proposals.

- Review and update data marts as needed.

- Develop ETL scripts for new tables.

- Develop pipelines within Azure Data Factory.

- Build reports and dashboards approved technologies.

- Prepare technical documentation for maintenance.

- Train internal support staff.
Must have skills:
1. Five (5+) years' experience developing and delivering successful business intelligence and analytics solutions using one or more relevant technologies.

a. Experience using PowerCenter Informatica to create or modify extract, transform, and load (ETL) scripts (5+ years).

b. Experience using SAP BusinessObjects to create and/or manage a data warehouse universe and to create or modify reports(5+ years)..

c. Experience with data visualization using Microsoft Power BI to create or modify dashboards (5+ years)..

d. Experience with Microsoft data platform tools including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics and Microsoft Fabric (5+ years).
2. Five (5+) years' experience applying data modelling principles such as Kimball Dimensional Modelling.
3. Five (5+) years' experience working with database technologies and scripting, such as Oracle or SQL Server.
4. Two (2+) years' experience mentoring other business intelligence and analytics developers.
Nice to have skills:
Knowledge of cloud data architecture (lakehouse, modern data warehouse)
Experience with Azure security: managed identities, RBAC, data controls
Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps (Azure DevOps, Git)
Up to date Azure AZ-104 and Microsoft DP-600 & 700 certification
Data virtualization using Denodo
Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.
