Summary

Job Title: Release Manager

Duration: 12 months + strong possibility of extension

Location: Fremont, CA (Onsite)

Role Overview

The client is seeking a highly motivated Release Manager to drive end-to-end release management across complex software and system environments. This role will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage release cycles, and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities

Own and manage the end-to-end release lifecycle including planning, scheduling, and deployment
Coordinate across engineering, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure release readiness
Maintain release calendars, release logs, and deployment plans
Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and blockers impacting release timelines
Drive Go-Live activities, production releases, and post-release monitoring
Ensure adherence to CI/CD, DevOps, and quality standards
Lead release readiness reviews, CAB meetings, and stakeholder communications
Continuously improve release processes for speed, stability, and scalability

Required Skills

Strong experience in Release Management / DevOps / Program Management
Hands-on with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices
Experience managing cross-functional teams and large-scale releases
Strong risk management and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environments

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in automotive, AI, or high-tech environments
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
Background in software engineering or system architecture
