Summary

HR Operations & Compliance Specialist

Location: Secaucus, NJ (100% Onsite)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Operations & Compliance Specialist to support HR administration, employee records management, unemployment claims, child support orders, wage garnishments, payroll tax notices, and employment verification processes. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of HR operations experience and a strong understanding of wage and payroll compliance, state agency correspondence, and multi-state employment practices.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy.
Manage unemployment insurance (UI) claims and respond to state agency notices.
Process and administer child support orders, wage garnishments, tax levies, and income withholding orders.
Review and respond to payroll tax notices and withholding-related inquiries.
Process employment verifications and respond to requests from authorized third parties.
Maintain confidential employee information and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

4-8 years of HR Operations, HR Administration, or related experience.
Experience handling unemployment claims, child support orders, wage garnishments, tax levies, payroll tax notices, and employment verifications.
Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems; Dayforce experience preferred.
Strong Excel, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Preferred Experience

Multi-state HR administration.
State agency correspondence and compliance.
Retail, distribution, or corporate environment.

Requirements

Must be willing to work 100% onsite in Secaucus, NJ.
