Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Electrical Engineer II in Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities:
*Determine the scope of assigned projects and utilize software programs to create the electrical system designs including lighting, power distribution, emergency generation systems, fire alarm, security, or other systems
* Determine cost-effective system layouts, quantities/sizes, and specifications, and verify code compliance of the system designs
* Preparation and layout of BIM drawings and coordination with all other disciplines at all phases of project production, including schematic design phase, design development phase, permitting phase, and construction documents phase
* Define appropriate project scope and ensure it is accurately reflected in the contract documents; Proactively manage any possible scope of work variances to ensure client satisfaction and that projects stay on track
* Maintain excellent business relationships and communication with clients, partners, architects, owners, other design and construction professionals, and various code officials regarding the overall engineering project, associated assignments, and action items
* Meets deadlines, works independently or as part of a team, accountable, maintains focus on set objectives and goals
* Uses resources efficiently, strives to reduce cost
* Monitors status of projects, thoroughly deals with project details, delivers clear, accurate depiction of status

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
* At least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering design of commercial buildings preferably in aviation, higher education, health care, hospitality, entertainment, or governmental facilities
* Experience with a variety of project deliverable methods including design-build, design-bid-construct, fast-track and other construction delivery methods
* Revit MEP proficiency required, and familiarity with other engineering software programs
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; ability to clearly convey information, ideas, and concepts verbally, written, or in graphic form
* Must have the technical knowledge and hands-on experience to effectively evaluate various electrical engineering options for configuration of equipment and components
* Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness in deliverables and communications, maintains high-quality standards, and good follow-up skills
* Ethical, honest, and accountable; Maintains confidentiality, handles sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
* Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or Engineer in Training (EIT), preferred

Physical Requirements:
* Must have the ability to perform the necessary job-related functions with or without reasonable accommodation
* Travel up to 10-35% for site investigations and assessments, or client meetings

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
