Business System Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business System Analyst in Salt Lake City, UT. This will be a fully onsite position helping with a long-term project.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in effecting positive change for business users by identifying opportunities for improvement that deliver value to the organization
* Analyze business and user needs through research, fact-finding, and stakeholder interviews
* Document functional and non-functional requirements clearly and accurately
* Develop and maintain system documentation, including workflows, dependencies, and system behaviors
* Support work involving legacy or hard-to-document systems
* Create and maintain user stories and related artifacts in Azure DevOps (ADO)
* Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure requirements are understood and actionable
* Participate in project assignments within one or more business units

Business Systems Analyst I and II:
* Works under the direction of more experienced Business Systems Analysts
* Assists with requirements gathering, documentation, and system analysis
* Focuses on documentation, research, and supporting defined project tasks
* Work is closely reviewed; Errors may result in minor delays or rework
* Role is established within the Information Technology function
* Independently analyzes business and user needs and recommends system logic modifications
* Builds credibility and effective working relationships with business and IT partners
* Demonstrates understanding of business problems, IT strategies, and priorities
* Participates in less complex technical studies and solution evaluations

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-4+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
* Strong systems analysis and application understanding
* Proven experience with system and process documentation
* Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for requirements and user stories
* Experience gathering functional and non-functional requirements
* Ability to work with legacy systems or environments with limited documentation
* Vizio would be nice to have
* Experience in Gas, Oil, Energy would be very helpful

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
