Job Description Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Fusion Financials Consultant with deep expertise in General Ledger (GL) and Fixed Assets (FA). In this role, the consultant will lead functional solution design, complex configurations, system enhancements, and process optimizations across the Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials platform, working closely with finance stakeholders, accounting teams, and Solution Architects.
Key Responsibilities
Module Implementation & Configuration (GL & FA Focus)
- Lead functional design, setup, and configuration for Oracle Fusion GL and FA modules
- Design and configure global Chart of Accounts (COA), ledgers (Primary, Secondary, Reporting), accounting conventions, ledger sets, and SLA rules
- Implement end-to-end Fixed Asset lifecycles: Asset Books (Corporate and Tax), asset categories, depreciation methods, additions, transfers, retirements, adjustments, and lease accounting setups
- Configure multi-currency accounting, revaluation, translation, and intercompany accounting (AGIS)
Business Process Optimization & Integration
- Lead requirement gathering, fit-gap analyses, and CRPs for GL and FA processes
- Map complex fixed asset accounting and GL journal workflows to standard Oracle Cloud capabilities
- Collaborate with integration teams for data flows between FA/GL and upstream/downstream applications (Procurement, Inventory, Project Financials, third-party asset tools)
- Oversee data conversion/migration for historical GL balances, journal history, and open asset registers using FBDI and ADFDI
Reporting, Analytics & Quality Assurance
- Design and build reports using OTBI, Financial Reporting Web Studio, and Smart View
- Build Fixed Asset reconciliation reports (Asset Roll Forward, Depreciation Projections, Book-to-Tax reconciliations) and GL balance controls
- Drive SIT, UAT, end-user training, and post-go-live stabilization (Hypercare)
Upgrade Management & Advisory
- Support quarterly Oracle Fusion Cloud update cycles impact assessment, regression testing, and new feature adoption
- Serve as SME for period-close procedures, helping accounting teams automate and accelerate monthly/yearly close
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience implementing/supporting Oracle ERP Financials (EBS and Cloud)
- 3+ years hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials implementation experience
- Proven lead consultant track record on multiple end-to-end Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations, primary focus on GL and Fixed Assets
- Deep expertise in Enterprise Structures, COA design, ledger setups, journal processing, SLA custom rules, revaluation, translation, multi-GAAP, and period close
- In-depth mastery of Fixed Assets: corporate/tax asset books, depreciation rules/methods, mass additions, retirements, impairment, CIP management, revaluation, lease accounting
- Advanced proficiency in OTBI, Smart View, FRS, and BI Publisher
- Hands-on with FBDI templates and ADFDI spreadsheet uploaders
- Strong understanding of US GAAP/IFRS standards, asset capitalization guidelines, intercompany balance elimination
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, or related field
- Oracle Cloud Financials Certified Implementation Specialist (GL or Payables/Assets specialization) required
Preferred
- CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent credentials
- Experience with adjacent modules: AP, AR, Cash Management, Projects (PPM), or Lease Accounting
- Experience with SLA custom rule creation for complex asset accounting scenarios
