Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Coach for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The Agile Coach is responsible for enabling teams, leaders, and Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to adopt and continuously improve Lean-Agile principles and practices. This role serves as a change agent, promoting an Agile mindset and coaching teams toward high performance to drive measurable improvements in delivery and business outcomes. This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities: - Coach teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and leaders on Agile principles, frameworks, and best practices
- Guide organizations through Agile transformation initiatives and maturity improvements
- Promote Lean-Agile values, servant leadership, and continuous learning
- Support adoption of SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and flow-based delivery practices
- Develop Agile capabilities across teams and leadership levels
- Assess team and program maturity and create improvement plans
- Coach teams on backlog management, prioritization, estimation, planning, and execution
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration and alignment across Agile Release Trains
- Support PI Planning preparation, execution, and follow-through
- Mentor Scrum Masters to improve effectiveness and develop coaching capabilities
- Identify systemic impediments impacting multiple teams or value streams
- Coach leaders on organizational design, value stream optimization, and operating models
- Drive consistency in Agile practices while allowing flexibility where appropriate
- Support governance, risk, compliance, and change management activities without compromising agility
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery environments
- 3+ years of experience coaching multiple Agile teams or Agile Release Trains
- Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and SAFe
- Demonstrated success leading Agile transformation initiatives
- Experience coaching leadership teams and senior stakeholders
- Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and organizational change management skills
- Expertise with Agile tooling such as Jira, Jira Align, and Azure DevOps
- Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC, ICP-ENT)
- Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
- Experience with Microsoft Office
Desired skills: - Demonstrated use of Copilot Chat (AI) prompt patterns for story mapping and backlog refinement (e.g., Jeff Patton-style story maps)
Pay range: $89.00 - $97.00 per hour
