Robert Half is partnering with our client in this search, a Fortune 500 leader in the financial services industry, to hire a Senior UX Designer for a highly collaborative digital experience team focused on building intuitive, scalable, and customer-centered digital products. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced UX professional who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about improving user journeys, driving usability outcomes, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver impactful digital experiences.

Location: Newark, NJ (hybrid-onsite)

Duration: 3+ month contract w/ potential to convert to FTE

Hours: 40 hours/week

Pay Rate: $60-65/hour

Position Overview:

The Senior UX Designer will lead end-to-end user experience design across complex digital journeys in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. This role is responsible for creating intuitive, scalable customer experiences through user research, usability testing, information architecture, interaction design, and prototyping. The ideal candidate is experienced in driving UX strategy, influencing cross-functional teams, and delivering data-informed design solutions across responsive digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead UX strategy and execution for complex customer journeys, including onboarding, account management, and digital servicing experiences
  • Define user flows, information architecture, interaction models, and scalable UX patterns
  • Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
  • Conduct user research and usability testing; translate insights into actionable design recommendations
  • Use analytics, testing insights, and user feedback to inform design decisions and improve customer outcomes
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, accessibility, content strategy, analytics, and business stakeholders to shape requirements and user experiences
  • Collaborate with experimentation teams to develop and measure testable design variants
  • Facilitate design reviews, workshops, and collaborative working sessions
  • Contribute to reusable UI components and design system documentation, including responsive behavior and accessibility standards
  • Ensure all designs align with WCAG accessibility requirements and UX best practices
  • Mentor junior designers and help elevate overall design quality across the organization
  • Navigate ambiguity and balance user needs, business goals, and technical considerations


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in UX Design, Product Design, or Experience Design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating the end-to-end UX process across complex digital products and customer journeys
  • Expertise in information architecture, interaction design, usability testing, and responsive design
  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, and detailed UX specifications
  • Proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping/design tools
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and WCAG compliance
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams in agile product environments
  • Ability to translate research and analytics into user-centered design solutions
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience contributing to or working within enterprise design systems preferred
  • Familiarity with experimentation platforms and A/B testing workflows is a plus
