COMPENSATION: $49 - $59 HOURLY
Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join a team focused on modernizing tools and infrastructure for business intelligence, data science, and AI customers. This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting scalable solutions for metadata management, data pipeline orchestration, ETL, data modeling, and data visualization. You will be architecting infrastructure and building automated solutions to deliver world-class experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support scalable solutions for metadata management and data pipeline orchestration.
- Develop ETL processes, data models, and data visualizations.
- Utilize AWS tools including Sage Maker Unified Studio, Redshift, Glue, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and Apache Airflow.
- Architect infrastructure and build automated CDK-based solutions.
- Own critical infrastructure supporting online tools.
- Build scalable automated solutions to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience is required. This includes at least 2 years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in a software development engineer or related occupational role.
Technical Skills: A minimum of 2 years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using Python, Java, or TypeScript.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
