Position Overview

We are seeking a senior Information Security Engineer to implement and configure security controls for AI-driven coding tools within its development environment. The contractor will secure AI coding agents, establish appropriate access and execution restrictions, integrate security configurations with Docker and Azure DevOps, validate controls, document gaps, and transition the solution to staff.

This is a hands-on security engineering role focused on securing AI-assisted software development, not AI/ML model development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure security controls for AI-driven coding tools, including permissions, execution restrictions, network access controls, credential protection, and logging.
  • Integrate security configurations with Docker containers, Azure DevOps repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Configure and manage development security settings using Linux, Git, JSON, and YAML.
  • Test and validate security controls, troubleshoot implementation issues, and document remaining security gaps.
  • Develop technical support documentation, test results, and operating procedures.
  • Deliver version-controlled security configurations and transfer knowledge to Oakland County staff.

Required Technical Skills
  • Docker configuration and container security.
  • Azure DevOps repositories, permissions, and pipelines.
  • Linux administration and scripting.
  • Git, JSON, and YAML configuration management.
  • Hands-on security engineering experience implementing and validating technical controls.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience securing AI-assisted development tools or AI coding agents.
  • Experience with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and GitHub Copilot.
  • Familiarity with MCPs (Model Context Protocol), Skills, and enterprise-level controls within Claude, GPT, and Copilot.
  • Experience restricting AI agent permissions, tool execution, file access, network connectivity, and credential access.

Technology Environment

Claude Code | OpenAI Codex | GitHub Copilot | Docker | Azure DevOps | Linux | Git | JSON | YAML | MCPs | Skills

Expected Deliverables
  • Working, version-controlled security configurations.
  • Documented security test results and operating procedures.
  • Documentation of remaining security gaps.
  • Completed knowledge transfer and handoff to staff.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A senior DevSecOps Engineer, Platform Security Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer, Infrastructure Security Engineer, or Application Security Engineer with strong hands-on Docker, Azure DevOps, Linux, and development pipeline security experience. Candidates with direct experience securing AI coding agents and configuring enterprise AI controls are especially desirable.

Prioritize candidates who can demonstrate practical implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation skills rather than experience limited to security policy, governance, or AI/ML development.

Medical, dental, and vision insurance are available to qualified candidates who meet eligibility requirements.
