Summary

job summary:

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Design Lead to develop and deliver a comprehensive AI and automation training program for a large-scale organization. This role will focus on building engaging, scalable learning experiences that enable employees to effectively and responsibly use AI tools and automation technologies in their daily work. You will design web-based and instructor-led training, create structured learning paths, and translate complex technical and policy concepts into clear, practical content. This is a fully remote, short-term contract ideal for someone with strong instructional design experience and a passion for driving AI adoption and digital enablement.

responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities


  • Design and develop a comprehensive AI and automation training program
  • Build structured learning paths, including required and advanced training modules
  • Create web-based training, instructor-led materials, and reusable learning assets
  • Develop content within an LMS or online training platform
  • Translate technical, policy, and governance concepts into clear, user-friendly training
  • Produce learning objectives, instructional outlines, facilitator guides, and job aids
  • Develop training on responsible AI use, privacy, security, and approved tools
  • Create advanced content on topics such as prompting, automation, and data tools
  • Recommend and implement assessment and completion tracking approaches
  • Develop documentation to support long-term program sustainment and scalability
  • Ensure all training aligns with organizational policies, standards, and technology guidelines




qualifications:

Qualifications


5+ years of experience in instructional design and training curriculum development


5+ years delivering technical or systems-related training


5+ years creating e-learning, web-based, and instructor-led training materials


3+ years building training in LMS or online learning platforms


Experience translating technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences


Experience developing training aligned to policy, governance, privacy, or security


Experience supporting Microsoft-based tools and environments (M365, cloud, etc.)


Strong ability to design structured learning paths and scalable training programs


Experience working with adult learners in enterprise or complex environments


Preferred Qualifications


Experience developing AI, automation, or digital adoption training


Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, Power BI, or Power Platform


Experience creating role-based learning paths and ongoing training programs


Public sector or education experience preferred


Experience with LMS platforms and e-learning authoring tools
