Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support application analysis, system enhancements, and quality assurance activities for enterprise licensing systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with complex, government-style licensing applications, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring systems meet functional, compliance, and user experience standards.
This role involves business analysis, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, and vendor coordination across application development and maintenance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing applications, troubleshoot system issues, and recommend effective, compliant solutions.
- Provide business analysis and quality assurance support for licensing systems, including new applications, renewals, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with end users and stakeholders to gather requirements, validate solutions, and improve system usability and performance.
- Develop detailed user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Create, review, and execute test cases; perform manual testing to validate system functionality and compliance.
- Support project activities including scope management, change requests, acceptance, installation, and deployment.
- Provide quality assurance consultation for projects, enhancements, and special initiatives.
- Maintain working relationships with technology vendors; review deliverables, invoices, and ensure best value for services and renewals.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable policies, procedures, and standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting applications or software development projects.
- Strong background in business analysis and quality assurance for licensing or regulatory systems.
- Solid understanding of the license lifecycle, including application intake, processing, approval, renewal, and management.
- Experience writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and executing manual testing.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical teams, vendors, and non-technical end users.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
