Summary

Position Overview

Client is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support its SQL Server database environment and Statewide Longitudinal Data System (SLDS) modernization using Common Education Data Standards (CEDS).

The selected candidate will serve as the subject matter expert for the Client SLDS data warehouse, supporting database administration, data architecture, ETL development, security, performance tuning, and the transition of ETL processes from on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments.

The environment includes multiple SQL Server instances, development through production environments, numerous SQL Server Reporting Services servers, more than 35 collection databases, and over 100 analysis databases.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of relevant database administration and development experience
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server database administration and support
  • Experience with Azure database services
  • Strong SQL data modeling and database structure design experience
  • Extensive ETL development, troubleshooting, and optimization experience
  • Experience with database security, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and infrastructure monitoring
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound technical judgment
