The Work

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing projects from initiation to completion while meeting specific goals, timelines, and budgets. The Project Manager drives collaboration, manages resources effectively, and mitigates risks to ensure successful project delivery. Business Solutions Analyst is a key role responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions to optimize organizational processes and performance. This individual collaborates with stakeholders to identify challenges, gather requirements, and design innovative solutions that align with business objectives. The role requires a blend of analytical expertise, technical proficiency, and communication skills to drive continuous improvement and deliver results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine project scope, objectives, and timelines.
  • Create detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to guide execution.
  • Define resource requirements and allocate assets effectively.
  • Assist in day-to-day project operations, ensuring progress aligns with established plans.
  • Monitor project milestones and adjust plans as needed.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality deliverables in time.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, team members, and senior leaders.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communication to address project concerns or updates.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts efficiently.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize disruptions.
  • Resolve issues promptly and escalate critical concerns to leadership when necessary.
  • Establish contingency plans to prepare for unforeseen challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Continuously assess project performance against key metrics.
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports, including financial performance, schedule updates, and risk analyses.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities and decisions.

Qualifications

Here's What You Need

The qualifications and skills listed below are intended to provide a general overview of the requirements for this position. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adapt to evolving responsibilities as outlined by the client.
  • Bachelor's-level degree from a recognized college or university. A recognized college or university is defined as an institution of higher learning approved by the Office of Higher Education of any given state or a foreign college or university of comparable standing. Alternatively, qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
    • NOTE: If no degree, Resource would need to demonstrate a total of nine (9) years of experience to meet MQ #2 below (i.e., minimum five (5) years + four (4) additional qualifying years). A recognized college or university is defined as an institution of higher learning approved by the Office of Higher Education of any given state or a foreign college or university of comparable standing.
  • Five (5) years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools. At least three (3) years of that experience must have been as a Senior Project Manager of one (1) or more large or complex IT projects.
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. The PMP certification is required and may not be substituted with additional experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience developing and managing complex IT project schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Experience managing a minimum of one (1) IT project through successful PAL approval, with a value of at least $10 million.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or doctorate from a recognized college or university. A recognized college or university is defined as an institution of higher learning approved by the Office of Higher Education of any given state or a foreign college or university of comparable standing. Alternatively, additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
    • NOTE: If no Master's degree, Resource would need to demonstrate an additional two (2) years of experience in addition to the experience used to meet MQ 1.
  • Six (6) or more years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools. At least four (4) years of that experience must have been as a Senior Project Manager of one (1) or more large or complex IT projects.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience developing and managing complex IT project schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • managing two (2) or more IT projects through successful PAL approval, with a value of at least $10 million each.

Working Conditions
