Job Description
We are seeking a Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team supporting the ENACT Modernization program. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Python and a proven ability to design, migrate, and optimize secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Develop cloud migration strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Design and coordinate architectures for cloud-based applications and services across public, private, and hybrid environments.
- Assess project requirements and recommend suitable cloud solutions.
- Oversee data and application migration from legacy systems to the cloud.
- Implement security controls and measures for cloud-based systems.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize efficiency and cost in collaboration with service providers.
- Plan and implement data backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Create and maintain documentation for architectures, operations, and workflows.
- Provide guidance on infrastructure movement techniques, including bulk application and data transfers.
- Establish standard operating procedures and policies for data transfer and storage aligned to best practices.
- Communicate effectively with cloud providers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role.
- Expertise with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform; familiarity with AWS or similar platforms.
- Understanding of network operations, software development, and information security.
- Proficiency with cloud ecosystems, APIs, and frameworks.
- Experience with Python; knowledge of Java or .NET is beneficial.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Onsite presence required at one of the listed locations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SQL and related data tools.
- Familiarity with Horizon toolset.
- Knowledge of change management practices.
- Understanding of cloud security principles and controls.
