Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Front-End Developer with strong React experience and accessibility expertise. In this role, you will assist in updating our application framework and implementing Accessibility standards to ensure it is accessible for all users. You will partner with Product Owners, technical leads, and internal teams to produce software design and frontend development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy responsive and performant web applications using React.
- Work with UX/UI designers to implement inclusive design principles and create accessible user experiences.
- Contribute to story refinement, requirements definition, and story estimation.
- Implement design into HTML pages for handoff to backend development.
- Code solutions and unit tests to deliver requirements per the defined acceptance criteria.
- Assist the team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
- Contribute to existing test suites and analyze test reports to identify and triage issues.
- Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, and support.
- Participate in and contribute to delivery and release events (CI/CD).
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of front-end development experience.
- Strong experience with React and its ecosystem (Redux, React Router, Hooks).
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax, and JSON.
- A deep understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and AA/AAA standards.
- Experience with automated and manual accessibility testing tools.
- Strong understanding of semantic HTML, ARIA roles, keyboard navigation, and screen reader behavior.
- Experience working on enterprise-level web applications with strict accessibility requirements.
- Experience with Visual Studio and Git/Bitbucket source control.
- Must have extensive experience with building API based architecture.
- Must be able to work in an agile environment using Jira.
- Ability to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
