Overview
We are seeking highly skilled Firewall Engineers with strong hands-on experience managing enterprise next-generation firewall environments in production operations. This role requires deep expertise in firewall policy lifecycle management, VPN troubleshooting, advanced incident response, and network security architecture.
Candidates must have day-to-day operational experience with Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and Cisco Firepower technologies in enterprise environments.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with:
Palo Alto Firewalls
Cisco ASA
Cisco Firepower / FTD
Experience managing next-generation firewall environments in production
Firewall policy lifecycle management
Firewall rule analysis, optimization, and evaluation
Advanced troubleshooting and incident response experience
VPN troubleshooting experience (IPSec / SSL VPN)
Strong understanding of:
Zero Trust architecture
Network segmentation strategies
Security-focused network design concepts
Experience supporting enterprise network security operations
Ability to participate in on-call rotations and maintenance windows
Preferred Certifications
PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Security Engineer)
CCNP Security
Other relevant network security certifications
Work Environment
100% onsite role in Marysville, OH
Potential flexibility for remote Fridays after onboarding and proven performance
Candidates should be comfortable working during regional maintenance windows
