Job#: 3023986 Job Description: The Retail Beverage Development team is responsible for bringing new and innovative beverages to market across Canada and Latin America. This contract Product Developer role supports product innovation, product qualification, ingredient conversions, and resiliency work across multiple beverage categories. The position is highly hands-on and lab-focused, working closely with cross-functional partners to ensure product quality, consistency, and readiness for market.
This is a junior-level role ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience in food science, chemistry, food engineering, or related R&D fields.
- Conduct daily lab work including measurements, chemical testing, product evaluations, and shelf-life studies.
- Prepare, test, and document beverage samples for internal teams and sensory panels.
- Perform yield/loss calculations and other analytical assessments to support product qualification.
- Support product innovation and development projects for Canada and LATAM markets.
- Assist with ingredient conversions, reformulations, and resiliency initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation, test records, and lab data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners including R&D, commercialization, quality, and operations.
- Monitor lab inventory, equipment, and sample storage.
- Conduct trend and flavor research, with a focus on LATAM consumer preferences.
- Participate in team tastings, sensory sessions, and technical reviews.
