About the Role

As a Network Engineer, you will help improve the accuracy, visibility, and management of network infrastructure assets across the production environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining network asset inventory, supporting hardware lifecycle initiatives, and tracking patching and vulnerability remediation programs. You will work with engineering and technology teams to analyze network and asset data, identify trends and data-quality issues, develop dashboards and reporting, and ensure systems of record contain accurate information.

The ideal candidate combines networking knowledge, data analytics, project management, and strong technical problem-solving skills. You do not need to be the most senior network engineer on the team. We are looking for someone who is technically curious, comfortable working with data, and able to quickly learn new tools and processes.
Responsibilities

• Maintain and validate inventory data for network devices operating in production environments.
• Monitor asset records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency and resolve identified data-quality issues.
• Support patching and vulnerability management programs, including tracking remediation and patch deployment progress with engineering teams.
• Build and maintain evidence packages and documentation supporting patching and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Support hardware lifecycle and End-of-Life (EOL) programs by tracking device refresh and deployment activities.
• Update systems of record with accurate network asset information.
• Analyze network, asset, vulnerability, and operational data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Build dashboards, metrics, and reports that provide clear visibility into network asset and remediation programs.
• Produce and communicate weekly program metrics, status updates, and reporting.
• Use ServiceNow, Jira, and internal technology platforms to track assets, issues, projects, and program deliverables.
• Partner with network engineering, security, business, and technology teams to resolve asset-management and operational issues.
• Manage multiple priorities, schedules, dependencies, and deliverables in a rapidly changing environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting, and data quality.
• Develop an understanding of applicable internal policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and technology standards.
• Communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Exercise independent judgment when analyzing moderately complex operational and technical challenges.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of network engineering or related technical experience, demonstrated through work experience, consulting, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
• 2+ years of experience supporting network hardware asset management programs.
• 2+ years of experience supporting patching or vulnerability remediation programs and tracking patch deployments with engineering teams.
• 2+ years of experience supporting hardware lifecycle or End-of-Life/End-of-Support refresh programs.
• Experience working with network or security technologies and devices.
• Experience managing, validating, analyzing, or reporting on technical and operational data.
• Experience coordinating multiple priorities, projects, or workstreams involving technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of project or program management experience, including managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment.
• 3+ years of data analytics experience, including analyzing datasets, identifying trends, and communicating findings to stakeholders.
• 3+ years of technical experience working with network or security devices and/or network asset management.
• Experience building dashboards, operational metrics, or executive-level reporting.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow and Jira.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts, infrastructure operations, cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and asset lifecycle management.
• Experience performing data reconciliation or improving asset/inventory data quality.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear conclusions, recommendations, and action items.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CISSP, or Security+ are a plus.
• Experience working in a large enterprise or highly regulated technology environment is preferred.
