Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft as a part of NASA's Commercial Crew Program. This position is a fully remote opportunity.

Key Duties:
  • Evaluate launch vehicle and spacecraft systems to define system performance requirements, technical parameters, and validate compatibility.
  • Perform verification and validation of system requirements with the proper flow down and traceability for the system, hardware, and software components executing the scope of validation or regression activities required for recertification.
  • Support and review testing, test plans, procedures, schedules, and documentation to support verification, validation, certification, and transition.
  • Support analysis, test planning and results to ensure government, regulatory, customer, and program compliance requirements are met.
  • Support validation and review of the plans, design, and verification of launch vehicle systems and system solutions.
  • Evaluate system performance requirement definition and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
  • Support planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of the requirements for launch vehicle and integrated spacecraft hardware.

Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
  • This is a sensitive/safety-sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing.
  • This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. If you are unsure whether your ID is Real ID-compliant, please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your driver's license or state ID.
  • 20 or more years of systems engineering experience.
  • Experience in systems engineering, including system architecture, requirements/interface development and allocation, verification and validation, integration and test, system trades, and risk management.
  • Experience reviewing test plans and reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
