Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for a hybrid position (2 days a week onsite) with a Major Financial Institution located in Overland Park, KS. This is a 8+ month contract opportunity. This position is responsible for executing against strategic projects for enhancing the capabilities of the Commercial Lending business. This individual works closely with the line of business and technology colleagues to assist in the development, implementation, assessment, and support of one or more environments, applications, or platforms.
Responsibilities: - Develop clean, maintainable, testable code for work assigned
- Actively work on the resolution of system and client experience impacts for one or more environments, applications, or platforms
- Provide mentorship and training for Junior engineers
- Demonstrate active learning regarding industry trends in banking and technology
- Learn and follow information security standards when developing code
- Assist in testing and evaluating new and emerging technologies during the selection process
- Utilize technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts when developing code
- Embrace and follow established standards and best practices
Requirements: - Undergraduate degree in business or technology related major or equivalent work experience
- Own the development, implementation, assessment, and support of one or more components of an environment, application, or platform
- Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases, SQL programming logic and reporting
- Understanding of following languages (.Net, C#, SQL - Oracle)
- Capabale of effectively handling multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
Desired skills: - Experience in commercial lending supporting one or more areas of the loan lifecycle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills that can explain technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Basic understanding of Agile software development methodology
- Experience working on geographically diverse teams
- Experience with JIRA and Git lab
- Cloud architecture experience
- Strong understanding of (.Net, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL - Oracle, C#)
Pay range: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
