TITLE: Data Center Operations (Franklin, TN) - 1st shift (some after hours work - project driven)
LOCATION: Hybrid - mainly remote, preferably based Franklin, TN.
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 6-Month Contract to Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support data center hardware renewals and upgrades
- Handle existing workloads from VMWare 8, supporting transition to Nutanix environment
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks during after-hours for second-shift coverage
- Maintain Cisco UCS infrastructure and server hardware, both virtual and physical
- Assist in server builds and setups as required
- Automation scripting
- Travel to data center for maintenance, installation, and support activities
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with data center hardware renewal and infrastructure management
- Hands-on experience with VMWare (especially VMWare 8) and Nutanix environments
- Hands on experience with Redhat Linux
- Ability to manage and support workloads during platform transitions
- Familiarity with Cisco UCS server infrastructure
- Experience with both virtual and physical server deployments
- Flexible schedule to perform after-hours maintenance tasks
- Willingness to travel to data center locations as needed
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $30 - $45/hr (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
