Role: DevOps Engineer
Location: Herndon, VA (Onsite)
Duration: Longterm contract

This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph at the time of onboarding
This role requires full-time onsite presence at a designated federal facility

Job description:
Key Responsibilities

Deploy and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux/SE Linux configurations using Red Hat Satellite and Ansible automation
Troubleshoot automation and deployment issues working directly with site administration teams
Install and configure software libraries in RHEL/SE Linux environments supporting DC-MLS® Enterprise deployments
Monitor and modify DC-MLS® Enterprise systems in agile, high-flexibility environments
Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to integrate manual processes into automated deployment workflows
Apply DevOps engineering best practices to deliver projects on time with exceptional quality
Provide technical support to staff and end users for DC-MLS® Enterprise related issues
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for filesystem upgrades
Create and modify DevOps processes to enhance deployment capabilities and resolve issues
Support new business development opportunities with additional federal customers

Required Qualifications

5+ years combined experience in Linux administration, scripting/software development, and configuration management
Expert proficiency in Python, Perl, Korn, Bourne/Bash, and Ansible scripting
Hands-on experience with revision control systems (CVS, SVN, Git, GitLab, GitLab CI)
Proven track record managing and developing DevOps deployment automation processes
Security+ Certification (current and valid)
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Deep understanding of software development lifecycle including requirements, design, coding, documentation, and testing
Ability to analyze, debug, and maintain existing DevOps infrastructure
SE Linux configuration and policy experience
Red Hat Satellite administration experience
Lustre, NFS, and distributed filesystem experience
Ethernet networking and RDMA communications (InfiniBand/OmniPath)
High-speed fabric experience (InfiniBand, Omni-Path) including subnet management and MPI integration
Identity management systems experience (LDAP, token-based authentication)
Business development and customer relationship experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
