Summary

Job Title: Security Engineer

Location- Remote

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Security Engineer to protect the organization’s systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The candidate will be responsible for implementing security measures, monitoring systems, and responding to security incidents to ensure a secure IT environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain security systems and controls
  • Monitor networks and systems for security breaches and vulnerabilities
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents and alerts
  • Implement security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and SIEM solutions
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security best practices
  • Maintain documentation for security procedures and incident response
  • Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of network security, system security, and application security
  • Experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, EDR/XDR)
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management tools (Nessus, Qualys, etc.)
  • Knowledge of encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms
  • Understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux)
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Basic knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD security
  • Knowledge of compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR)
  • Familiarity with incident response frameworks and threat intelligence

Education & Experience:

3–8 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and proactive mindset
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to handle high-pressure security incidents
