SAP SAC Planning Consultant - Analytics Cloud

Job Summary:
The SAC Planning Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise planning, budgeting, and forecasting solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to translate financial planning requirements into scalable SAC models and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Implementation:
Design and develop SAC Planning models, including dimensions, data actions, and input templates.
Configure advanced formulas, allocations, value driver trees, and what-if simulations.
Integrate SAC with SAP BW/4HANA, S/4HANA, and other ERP systems.
Lead workshops to gather requirements and prepare fit-gap analyses.
Analytics & Reporting:
Build interactive dashboards and input-enabled stories for financial planning and analysis.
Implement predictive forecasting and scenario modeling using SAC’s Smart Predict and Smart Assist features.
Optimize performance of planning models and data workflows.
Technical Expertise:
Hands-on experience with SAC scripting, R-scripts, and advanced calculations.
Configure data locking, data actions, and allocation processes.
Support data integration and troubleshooting across SAP and non-SAP systems.
Collaboration & Support:
Work with finance, IT, and business teams to align planning solutions with strategic goals.
Provide training and documentation for end-users and internal teams.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and project reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, or related field.
5–10+ years of experience in SAP BW, BPC, or SAC Planning.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on SAC Planning experience.
Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Proficiency in SAC model design, data actions, and dashboard creation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with SAP BPC, SAP Datasphere, or SAP Joule.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Advanced Excel and scripting capabilities.
Experience in mentoring and training users.
