Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software for manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing embedded systems in production environments.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with new and existing hardware platforms.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for embedded systems and software.
• Perform root cause analysis for system failures and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize embedded code for performance, reliability, and resource utilization.
• Participate in the full product development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and maintenance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
• Experience with sensor integration and motor control in manufacturing automation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) beyond basic microcontroller use.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for test automation or data analysis.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles as applied to embedded systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues in a manufacturing environment.
