Summary

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Duration: 3+ Years

Detailed Responsibilities and Expected Role Outputs

1. Business requirement review and test analysis: Review assigned requirements, process descriptions, user stories, change requests, and acceptance criteria. Identify actors, preconditions, inputs, expected results, exception paths, and dependencies. Raise clarification questions where requirements are incomplete or contradictory and maintain traceability to approved interpretations.
2. Test scenario and case development: Prepare functional scenarios and detailed test cases that represent normal processing, alternate paths, boundary conditions, validation rules, error conditions, and relevant business exceptions. Define expected results, prerequisites, data needs, and evidence requirements so that another tester or business user can reproduce the scenario.
3. Test-data preparation and coordination: Identify the data required for planned tests and coordinate its creation, selection, refresh, or approval with designated CLIENT and technical contacts. Validate that test data is appropriate for the scenario, sufficiently complete, and handled in accordance with privacy and security requirements. Record data dependencies and constraints that could block execution.
4. Functional and end-to-end test execution: Execute assigned functional and end-to-end scenarios across relevant applications and user journeys. Record actual results, compare them with expected outcomes, capture permitted evidence, and identify defects or requirement gaps. Retest corrections and perform targeted regression where the change could affect related functions.
5. UAT planning and participant coordination: Support UAT preparation by organizing approved scenarios, test scripts, schedules, participant information, prerequisites, and execution guidance. Coordinate walkthroughs and working sessions with business users, track execution progress, and help participants distinguish a defect from a question, data issue, or proposed enhancement.
6. Business feedback and defect translation: Capture UAT observations and business feedback accurately, including scenario, user impact, expected behavior, and supporting detail. Work with the Delivery Manager / Test Manager and technical QA staff to convert actionable findings into traceable issues while preserving the business user's original concern.
7. Traceability, evidence, and acceptance support: Maintain requirements-to-test mapping, case status, execution results, defect references, retest evidence, outstanding actions, and acceptance documentation. Assemble evidence packages for CLIENT review and identify any tests that remain blocked, not run, or subject to business decision.
8. Onsite stakeholder support and communication: Provide accessible support during customer-facing test activities and UAT sessions in Indianapolis as required. Coordinate questions and follow-ups with the appropriate QA or technical owner, communicate status clearly, and ensure that business participants understand the current test position without implying acceptance authority.
