Workday HCM Configurator

Location: Atlanta, Charlotte, Greensboro, Richmond, Raleigh, Winston-Salem

Role Overview

We are seeking a Workday HCM Configurator for a remote position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and maintaining Workday Core HCM functionality, including organizational structures, business processes, and security. This role involves translating business requirements into technical solutions and providing ongoing production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Workday Core HCM functionality, including organizational structures, staffing models, jobs, positions, and business processes.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into Workday solutions.
• Configure supervisory organizations, company structures, cost centers, locations, and job profiles.
• Develop and maintain calculated fields, condition rules, validation rules, and notifications.
• Configure and manage security roles, domain security policies, and role assignments.
• Support organizational restructuring, acquisitions, and other workforce management initiatives.
• Perform impact analysis for Workday releases and configuration changes.
• Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production validation.
• Troubleshoot configuration and business process issues and provide production support.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and other teams to support end-to-end business processes.
• Maintain configuration documentation, process flows, and operational procedures.
• Support data validation, audits, and compliance-related activities.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's degree is preferred.

Experience: Must have experience with worker lifecycle management and supporting testing and defect management.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workday HCM configuration experience, with 3+ years in Core HCM.
• Experience supporting large-scale Workday implementations and production support.
• Understanding of employee lifecycle processes and HR operations.
• Experience with testing, deployments, and release management activities.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Workday HCM Certification.
• Experience with Workday Compensation, Absence and Time Tracking, or Talent and Performance modules
