Summary

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Fault Monitoring Architect and Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days a week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for developing, enhancing, testing, and supporting software applications that support business units or support functions. As an individual contributor, the ideal candidate will work on complex projects, managing Unix OS and hardware, and building, testing, and maintaining Network Fault Monitoring systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Unix OS and Hardware comprised of various Operating Systems
  • Conduct new product research related to fault monitoring
  • Build, test and maintain the Network Fault Monitoring systems and build self-healing automation with engineering teams
  • Interact with users and stakeholders to build requirements and deliver working solutions
  • Certify new product models/versions and obtain their approval for use from all governance processes
  • Assist with Audit deliverables for Network Toolset
  • Work with Vendors to enhance their respective tools to meet new customer/security requirements
  • Refresh/Upgrade existing toolset as it becomes EOL/EOS or not-permitted
  • Develop integrations for the various Network Tools
  • Lead Disaster Recovery exercises for various Network Tools
  • Provide Break-Fix Support for the Network Toolset

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, related field or technical training
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in IBM Netcool Operations Insight AIOPS platform
  • Experience in deploying Netcool Omnibus, Netcool Impact, Network Manager, Probes, Gateways, Cognos Analytics in high-availability environments
  • Experience in deploying topology manager, Runbook automation, and CNEA components in the RedHat OpenShift container platform
  • Experience deploying various probes and gateways in a high-availability environment
  • Experience in developing probe custom rules and Netcool Impact custom policies
  • Experience with configuration of Network discovery across a multi-region environment and custom network views
  • Experience in designing and developing Cognos custom reports
  • Strong hands-on experience with Syslog, MTTrapd and MessageBus probes, JDBC, XML gateway
  • Experience with configuration of SevOne network discovery and poll policies
  • Functional knowledge of Network components such as switches, routers, firewalls, proxies, load balancers etc
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process and Agile Project delivery
  • Linux/Unix/Windows server administration knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Experience in various Fault Monitoring tooling vendors including but not limited to IBM, SevONE, MicroFocus, SPLUNK, as well as equipment manufacturers such as Cisco, Aruba, Cloudgenix, Fortinet
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired skills:
  • Prior Experience with SevOne Network Performance Management building maps/links
  • Scripting skills in Python, Ansible, Shell, or JavaScript
  • Experience in financial services (Insurance, Banking, Investment banking)

Pay range: $50.29 - $58.29 per hour
