Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado (Onsite)

The selected candidate will be part of a team that performs daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of network systems in a 24x7 operations and test environment. This role involves providing first-level technical support, performing initial troubleshooting of network hardware and software, and documenting and reporting all events/issues. The position requires working in rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends, as determined by mission requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support and perform initial troubleshooting of all local network hardware and software.
- Document and report all events and issues, receiving tasking and direction for all operations and test events.
- Assist in all network hardware/software installations as directed by local subject matter experts.
- Create and maintain user accounts as directed by the local Information System Security Officer.
- Perform daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of network systems.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Perform other duties and assignments as required.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP). Candidate will be responsible for maintaining certification for the full contract period.
- Generally has 1+ years of related experience.
- Knowledge of network concepts such as LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, network management, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of management and monitoring tools for network infrastructure components.
- Experience with remote access software such as SSH, RDP, FTP, and SCP.
- Familiarity with OSPF, Cisco IOS, and JUNOS commands and troubleshooting.
- Experience in Windows Server maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and practical experience in the usage of network management tools.
- Familiarity with encryption devices, specifically TACLANEs.
- Basic understanding of Linux/Unix Server maintenance.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare vCenter and vSphere.
- Experience liaising with other associated network operations organizations.
