Role: Power Platform Engineer (Dataverse & Agentic Copilot Studio)

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3 days office in a week) - Locals

Note: Looking for candidate who are willing to go for Inperson Interview.

 

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, configure, and deploy solutions using:
Power Apps
Power Automate
Microsoft Dataverse
Copilot Studio
Power BI
Power Pages
Build canvas apps and model-driven apps based on business and functional requirements.
Design and implement Dataverse data models, including:
Tables and columns
Relationships
Choices and business rules
Security roles
Business units and teams
Views, forms, and business process flows
Develop scalable and reusable Power Platform solutions using appropriate architecture and design patterns.
Design and build agentic copilots in Microsoft Copilot Studio capable of:
Understanding natural-language user requests
Maintaining conversational context
Calling tools, actions, APIs, and Power Automate flows
Retrieving information from enterprise data sources
Executing business processes
Escalating requests to human agents when required
Configure topics, triggers, entities, variables, generative answers, actions, authentication, and conversation flows in Copilot Studio.
Integrate Copilot Studio agents with Dataverse, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate, APIs, and external systems.
Implement grounding, access controls, responsible AI practices, and response validation for enterprise copilots.
Create cloud flows and business process automations using Power Automate.
Integrate Power Platform with external systems using:
Custom connectors
REST APIs
Webhooks
Azure Functions
Logic Apps
Standard and premium connectors
Develop custom components, plugins, and JavaScript where required to extend platform capabilities.
Configure application lifecycle management using solutions, environment variables, connection references, and deployment pipelines.
Support integrations with Microsoft Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Teams, Azure services, SQL Server, and other enterprise applications.
Implement security, governance, compliance, monitoring, and performance best practices.
Troubleshoot application, automation, integration, and Copilot Studio issues.
Perform code reviews, solution reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, data models, deployment guides, and support documentation.
Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective Power Platform solutions.
Mentor junior developers and promote Power Platform development standards and best practices.
 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of overall experience in software development, application development, automation, or related IT roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including:
Power Apps
Power Automate
Dataverse
Copilot Studio
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Dataverse-based enterprise applications.
Proven experience creating and deploying Copilot Studio agents, including agentic copilots that use actions, tools, APIs, workflows, and enterprise data sources.
Strong knowledge of Dataverse security and administration, including:
Security roles
Business units
Teams
Field-level security
Sharing and access management
Experience with model-driven application development, forms, views, business rules, business process flows, and command bars.
Experience developing Power Automate cloud flows, approvals, scheduled flows, instant flows, and event-driven automations.
Strong understanding of API integrations, JSON, HTTP, REST services, and authentication mechanisms.
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
Experience with Power Platform solutions, managed and unmanaged components, environment variables, and connection references.
Knowledge of Power Platform environment management and deployment across development, test, and production environments.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, testing, and production support.
Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
