Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Governance and Service Management Engineer for an Onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role focuses on Application Management for the Application Infrastructure Technology (AIT) used within the Global Financial Institution. The position is responsible for maintaining the lifecycle and compliance requirements for registered applications to ensure they adhere to internal policies and standards. This involves managing risk, monitoring deliverables, and ensuring security requirements are current for the AIT.
Responsibilities: - Manage applications through the maintenance of AppHq, working with product managers to ensure AIT is accurately maintained
- Ensure RISE deliverables are managed and closed effectively and on time
- Track patching and security requirements associated with the AIT using GIS Continuous Monitoring tools
- Coordinate and manage documentation for the AIT required to support approvals and tollgates
- Coordinate audit and regulatory assessments associated with the AITs
- Support development of any related Policies, Standards, and Baselines related to the AITs
- Create Exception Requests (GIS ERP) and Risk Cases (RISE SIAI) to support risk processes
- Provide weekly reports and escalations of AIT metrics for RISE and GIS CM
Requirements: - Good understanding of Application Management policies, standards, processes, and systems
- Good understanding of Risk frameworks
- Excellent action management and prioritization to ensure deadlines are not missed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as technical, process and reporting skills
- Strong analytical skills and use of tools (Excel) to report and track vulnerabilities and impact
- Experience with process definition, creation, and optimization based on AIT requirements
Desired skills: - Knowledge of IT security principles and requirements with a good understanding of measuring possible threats and vulnerabilities
- Experience identifying options for mitigation and controls (technology and processes) to reduce or remove risks
- Familiarity with the latest policies, standards, and security baselines
- Working knowledge of IT risks and ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce controls
Pay range: $54.54 - $62.54 per hour
