Summary

Role: S/4HANA EWM Lead

Location: Remote. One week on-site presence every 2-3 months in Buffalo NY. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Level: Lead

Experience: 12+ years of SAP warehouse/EWM experience, including 2+ end-to-end S/4HANA implementations.

The candidate:

A business transformation leader who can connect process, technology, controls, and user experience to deliver successful S/4HANA outcomes. Must have strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client workshops for process discovery, fit-to-standard, requirements validation, future-state design, solution playback, and design decisions, working confidently with business, warehouse operations, and IT stakeholders.
  • Own end-to-end EWM process design including inbound, outbound, internal warehouse movements, putaway, picking, packing, replenishment, physical inventory, staging, handling units, RF/mobile processes, wave management, labor/resource management, and yard/dock processes.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable S/4HANA EWM solutions while driving standardization and minimizing unnecessary customization.
  • Define warehouse organizational structures, storage types, activity areas, process-oriented storage control, warehouse process types, strategies, queues, and exception handling.
  • Lead integration with MM, SD, PP, QM, Transportation Management (TM), manufacturing, inventory management, automation/MFS, carriers, and external warehouse systems.
  • Lead and mentor the EWM functional team through design, configuration/build, functional specifications, SIT, UAT, data migration, cutover, deployment, and hypercare.
  • Own end-to-end warehouse test scenarios and drive resolution of functional defects and cross-workstream integration issues.
  • Proactively manage design decisions, dependencies, risks, issues, and delivery priorities, ensuring business readiness for warehouse go-live. Lead and mentor the PP/QM functional team through design, build/configuration, SIT, UAT, data migration, cutover, deployment, and hypercare.
